20 archers from BCS in National Championship

The athletes will travel to Nuevo León (state located in the north of the country) to represent Baja California Sur in the first national archery competition.

In the last week of January, a group of 20 archers from Southern California will travel to Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, to participate in the XLVIII National Outdoor Championship 2022, being the first step in a series of selections for the Pan American Games and World Cups.

The coaches accompanying the contingent are Antonio Hidalgo Astorga, Jesús Abelardo Bautista Alemán and Luis Ruiz Carmona, as well as Magaly Morales, the latter being the contingent’s delegate.

This championship is a pre-selection for the group that will represent Mexico in the first qualifier in Baymon, Puerto Rico, with a view to the Pan American Championship, an event that serves as a qualifier for the Pan American Games.

Finally, this competition is the first step towards the reactivation of the discipline of archery in 2022, with an agenda that includes events at national and international level, which is why the archers of Baja California Sur are fine-tuning their aim.
