South Californians won 8 medals at the Acapulco Karate Championship

One of Baja California Sur’s award winners will represent Mexico at the 2022 Central American and Caribbean Championship.

The South Californian karate players returned home with 8 medals obtained in the National Karate Championship held in Acapulco, Guerrero, achieving that one of the 9 athletes attending will guarantee their pass to represent Mexico in the Central American and Caribbean Championship 2022.

Two of the athletes that traveled won gold medals while two of them won silver and the last four won bronze.

The Mexican Karate Federation organized the event, which was attended by more than 500 athletes from 27 countries, including Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Ecuador, El Salvador, France, Germany, India, Italy, Netherlands, Peru, Poland, Puerto Rico, Romania, Russia, Scotland, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, United States of America, Venezuela and, of course, Mexico.
