It was announced the celebration of the Fiestas de Fundación de La Paz 2022.
In its 487th anniversary, called “Rumbo a los 500 años”, in which during May there will be different cultural and sports activities aimed at the entire population.
The general program of the Fiestas de Fundación de La Paz 2022 is scheduled to take place from May 3 to 8 in the Malecón area, but the activities will begin on April 29 and will continue throughout May in various neighborhoods of the city and in the communities of the municipality.
It was announced that the traditional staging of the “Desembarco en la Bahía de la Santa Cruz” will be performed by a theater group made up of talented young drama enthusiasts, directed by cultural promoters of the Municipal Culture Department.
There will also be the Coronation of Queen Calafia 2022 and the Pazeada de la Reina Calafia, as well as a parade through the Malecon and the historic center.
Also contemplated are different sports activities, such as 3×3 basketball tournaments, beach volleyball and highlighting the talent of Southcalifornian dance.
