La Paz Coast Is Smoke Free

La Paz Coast Has New Regulations
  • Balandra beach located in La Paz will have new schedules and rules to contribute to the environment.

BCS Government, CONANP and the City of La Paz declared Balandra a smoke-free zone, based on the provisions of the General Law for Tobacco Control.

This provision will be monitored by the Federal Maritime Terrestrial Zone, wich intentions are not to sanction, but to strengthen the health of the inhabitants and contribute to the environment, since a single cigarette butt, mentioned the Government, contaminates between 8 to 10 liters of sea water.

Stay times and capacity will extended – June 15th to August 31st

Thanks to the arrival of the holiday period, users will be able to visit the beach for five hours, from 8:00 to 13:00 and from 14:00 to 19:00, allowing the entry of up to 800 people per day, 400 persons in the morning and 400 persons in the evening.
