English Teachers Have Not Been Paid For Months Mexico

English teachers have not been paid for months
  • Since the beginning of the year, English teachers that belong to the National English Program have not received salaries for their work.

There are more than 100 English teachers in Baja California Sur who belong to this program. The program is carried out in public elementary schools and high schools, where the objective is to strengthen the teaching and learning processes of a foreign language.

Teachers hope that authorities will fulfill their commitment since they have been trying to be heard for months without payments or even a contract as education workers.

“There are some teachers who have not even had enough money for transportation and have reached an agreement with their principals to go every other day, there are some who work online, but that is an individual decision.”
