There will be $30,000.00 pesos in prizes for the first three places. First place will receive $15,000.00 pesos, 2nd place $10,000.00 pesos and 3rd place $5,000.00 pesos.
“Con sabor a leña” will be held this Sunday, May 15, starting at 12:00 noon in the orchard of the Santiago mission.
Participants must demonstrate their skills in regional cuisine, presenting their dish to the jury who will have to identify the peculiar flavor provided by the firewood
The objective of “Con sabor a leña” is to encourage community participation in the Santiago delegation, as well as to strengthen regional gastronomy and tradition. Access and tastings will be free of charge.
The event will have a family atmosphere, where participants will be able to taste different dishes, which will be evaluated by an expert jury that will take into account aspects such as: originality and culinary technique, presentation of the dish and seasoning of the dish.
The creation and organization of the event is by the H. XIV City Hall of Los Cabos through the General Directorate of Economic Development headed by Rafael García Ceseña, who recently held the culinary event Tamal Fest 2022.
