Chocolata Clam Festival in Loreto returned on June 3 and 4, after being suspended for two years due to the pandemic this was the eighth edition.
It was inaugurated by the Mayor of Loreto, Paola Cota Davis, who thanked the Restaurant Association, the National Chamber of the Restaurant Industry and the Association of Restaurants and Bars of Loreto for organizing the festival.
During the event, different seafood recipes were tasted, among them the traditional tatemada clam, declared intangible cultural heritage of the state.The head of the Ministry of Tourism and Economy, Maribel Collins Sánchez, pointed out that the tradition of the tatemada clam is a symbolic act that recalls the roots of the first settlers of the peninsula.
