Winners of the "Painting My Moments" contest announced

The director of the Southcalifornian Institute of Culture (ISC) Víctor Hugo Caballero Gutiérrez, accompanied by Luis Trasviña Moreno, director of the Regional Museum of Anthropology and History of BCS, and the deputy director of the ISC José Ángel García Borrego, carried out the award ceremony of the First Southcalifornian Drawing and Painting Contest for Children “Painting My Monuments”, where 10 children from the state were the winners.

The authorities present presented awards to Paul Jerónimo Castro Lucy, Iker Emmanuel Escalante Avilés, Irene Sophia Escalante Avilés, Rebeca Ayala Sánchez, Citlalli Amayte Nava Flores, Nikol Itzaya Ruiz Huerta, Daniella Michelle Chávez Trujillo, Julián Reyes Galindo and Constanza Mayoral Olachea.

During the event, Caballero Gutierrez emphasized that it is very important for ISC’s precincts to offer new generations these types of tools, which promote cultural development and at the same time invite them to practice the fine arts. “We have the firm conviction that these types of contests can be held on a continuous basis and thus provide a space where the children and youth sector of Baja California Sur can express themselves,” said the state official.
