20 garbage trucks to be rented in Los Cabos

Los Cabos, Baja California Sur – In order to improve garbage collection, the Procurement Committee, headed by the Mayor of Los Cabos, Óscar Leggs Castro, approved the rental of 20 trucks at the request of the Administrative Directorate of Public Services.

In this regard, the mayor commented that these units are intended to cover the routes in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, emphasizing that as a government they are obliged to provide a good service in terms of urban solid waste collection.

Taking into account the accelerated growth of Los Cabos, the request states that currently 400 tons of garbage are collected daily and transported to the municipality’s landfills, so the company is looking for 20 trucks in addition to the ones currently available at Servicios Públicos.

Finally, Oscar Leggs reiterated the importance of strengthening the General Directorate of Public Services with these 20 units, which will allow 100% coverage of the collection routes, as well as the timely collection of household garbage.
