- Baja California Sur (BCS) ranked first in Mexico in the training of general and specialized tourist guides.
The state of Baja California Sur was recognized at the National Meeting of State Interlocutors for Training, Education and Tourism Culture, held in Chiapas de Corzo, Chiapas.
The director of Training and Tourism Culture emphasized that this achievement is proof of the BCS Government’s commitment to the competitiveness of the industry, which is a key factor in strengthening the industry.
“We are proud to be positioned as the entity with the most certified tourist guides, mainly in the nature segment,” he said.
He also explained that our state currently has more than 300 certified tour guides, some of whom are involved in more general activities and others in more specialized activities.
